GTT, together with its Smart Shipping business unit, Ascenz Marorka, said that China Merchants Energy Shipping (CMES) has chosen Ascenz Marorka’s digital solutions for the new series of eight 175,000 m³ LNG carriers being built by Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co. (DSIC) in China, reports GTT.
LNG Carrier Features
The eight ships will be equipped with GTT’s Mark III Flex membrane containment system, together with Ascenz Marorka’s innovative digital solutions. These include:
- A complete set of onboard systems
- A real-time vessel performance monitoring system and value-added services
- LNG cargo management modules with specialised expertise
- Weather routing and voyage optimisation solutions, and advisory services of experts
CMES’s First Proprietary LNG Carriers
These ships are CMES’s first wholly owned LNG carriers. They are scheduled for delivery between mid-2025 and mid-2027.
