GTT announces that it has received an order, in the second quarter of 2022,from its partner the Korean shipyard Samsung Heavy Industries for the tank design of three new LNGCs on behalf of an Asian shipowner, says a press release on their website.
Membrane containment system
As part of this order, GTT will design the tanks of the vessels, which will offer a cargo capacity of 174,000 m3 each and will be fitted with the Mark III Flex membrane containment system, a technology developed by GTT.
Deliveries of the vessel are scheduled for the third quarter of 2025 and the first quarter of 2026
