The Baltic Exchange Council has announced Guy Hindley as its new Chairman, starting 1 January 2025. With decades of experience in the maritime industry, Hindley is expected to bring strategic insight and leadership to the role, succeeding Lord Jeffrey Mountevans, who served as Chairman since 2023.

Guy Hindley’s appointment comes after serving on the Baltic Exchange Council since 2019 and nearly 40 years at Howe Robinson, where he has been pivotal in shaping the global dry cargo shipping sector.

His shipbroking and maritime operations expertise will strengthen the Baltic Exchange’s mission to elevate shipping standards worldwide.
