Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard in China has launched the Hansung Weihai, a new container vessel built for Hansung Line, a South Korean shipping company. This vessel is designed for efficient and eco-friendly operations, with distinctive features for both river and deep-sea navigation.

  • Beam: 18 meters
  • Depth: 8.5 meters
  • Capacity: 430 TEUs
  • Design Draught: 6 meters
  • Speed: 20 knots

The vessel offers a combination of size, speed, and capacity, making it faster than many similar-sized containerships.

Advanced Features for Sustainability

The ship is equipped with an exhaust gas cleaning system, intelligent operating systems, and emission-reducing technologies. These systems help minimize carbon dioxide and greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to environmental sustainability.

Compliance and Operational Plans

Built to meet the standards of China Classification Society and Korean Register, the Hansung Weihai will operate on a regular line service between Incheon and Weihai. Its hull design ensures compatibility with both river and deep-sea navigation, enhancing operational flexibility.
