As the reports state, Hapag-Lloyd is taking over operations of shipmanager Hamburger Lloyd resulting in the transfer of technical management of 29 container ships and about 35 staff, reports Safety4sea.
Two contracts
The reports come after Hapag-Lloyd signed two contracts with two Chinese shipyards for a total of 24 new container ships, with a value of around $4 billion.
Furthermore, the company on 3 November christened the LNG dual-fuel flagship vessel Hamburg Express at the Container Terminal Burchardkai at the port of Hamburg.
