During a stop for repairs on the Atlantic, a cargo vessel reportedly rolled over causing containers to fall overboard.

What happened?

A cargo vessel named ‘Bremen Express’ owned by Hapag-Llyod stopped for repairs at the Atlantic.  When the ship was docked it rolled over due to unforeseen circumstances causing the containers onboard the vessel to fall into the Sea.

The vessel operated by CEC service was located roughly 1,400 nautical miles west of Europe when the incident occurred, was and is not in danger.

The 336-meter-long “Bremen Express,” was built in 2008, was fit and able to continue sailing after reporting the incident to the responsible authorities.

It is destined to call at a port in the Mediterranean in order to be inspected before passing through the Suez Canal on its journey to Asia.

Fortunately no one was injured during the accident.  Still the reason for roll has not yet been determined.
