This order marks a major step in the company’s business diversification, aligning with its commitment to innovation and sustainability according to Business Korea.

Improved Fuel Efficiency and Compliance

This system enhances the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) and Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII), making it a key technology for compliance with stricter International Maritime Organization (IMO) environmental regulations.

Strategic Growth and Market Expansion

HD Hyundai Marine Solutions has steadily increased orders for Shaft Generator Systems since 2020, with this latest order reflecting the growing demand for fuel-efficient maritime technology. The market for these systems is expected to reach $365.80 million by 2028, driven by the tightening of carbon emission regulations.

LNG Carriers Embrace Advanced Technology

LNG carriers are increasingly adopting Shaft Generator Systems to improve safety and operational efficiency. As the market for these systems expands, HD Hyundai Marine Solutions is positioning itself at the forefront of sustainable maritime innovations.
