Advanced LNG Technologies for Greener Shipping
HD Hyundai has received Approval in Principle (AIP) from ABS for its next-generation high-pressure dual-fuel LNG system, improving operational efficiency and reducing cargo loss.
The company is also partnering with GTT to develop a new trapezoidal membrane cargo tank, which enhances space use, cargo stability, and fuel efficiency. Additionally, in collaboration with Lloyd’s Register, HD Hyundai is working on a hybrid LNG carrier using Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) technology, further pushing clean propulsion innovation.
Global Leadership in Maritime Policy and Cooperation
HD Hyundai is the first Korean shipbuilder to partner with the Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping. Through this, it will actively contribute to shaping international policies for cleaner fuels and energy-efficient vessel operations. With over 90 global collaborators, this partnership places HD Hyundai at the center of regulatory and technological transformation in the shipping industry.
