HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co. (HD KSOE) revealed on Monday that its subsidiaries have won orders worth 2.5 trillion won to construct 22 container carriers for Asian and Oceania clients, reports Yonhap News Agency.

Order Terms and Shipyard Locations

HD Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co. will construct 16 container vessels at its Ulsan shipyard, 305 km southeast of Seoul. Delivery is scheduled for the first half of 2028. HD Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co. will have six container vessels constructed at its Yeongam shipyard, 308 km south of Seoul, for delivery to customers during the same period.

Client Confidentiality and Company Background

Although the names of the clients have not been revealed, three affiliates are managed by HD KSOE, which is a subholding company of the HD Hyundai group. These are to include HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., which will undertake the construction work of these ships.
