HD KSOE Secures $176 Million Suezmax Tanker Deal With Sonangol

HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (HD KSOE), part of HD Hyundai Group, has signed a contract with Angola’s state-run oil company Sonangol to build two 157,000 dwt Suezmax tankers. The total contract value is $176 million, with each vessel priced at $88 million — notably $14 million lower than earlier industry estimates of $190 million.
