Hing Chao: A Proven Maritime Leader with a Global Vision

Hing Chao currently serves as the Executive Chairman of Wah Kwong Maritime Transport and Co-founder of the Hong Kong Chamber of Shipping. His extensive maritime leadership experience spans both corporate and international governance roles, including his prior service as a member of the Global Maritime Forum Advisory Council.

Chao’s influence extends globally—he chairs the Bureau Veritas Global Marine and Offshore Advisory Council and RINA’s Asia Decarbonisation Committee, both crucial platforms for steering the maritime industry toward sustainable operations and decarbonisation. He also plays a vital role in regional development through initiatives like the Greater Bay Maritime Forum and the Guangdong-Hong Kong Co-operation (Guangzhou Nansha) committee.
