Norway’s Höegh Autoliners has landed a five-year deal with a major Asian automaker to carry cars from Asia to Europe, says an article published on splash.
Disclose the numbers
The Oslo-based company, which operates around 40 roros and makes about 3 000 port calls each year did not disclose the numbers, but said the contract that starts this month has a “significant value”.
Long term relationship
Andreas Enger, CEO of Höegh Autoliners, commented: “The signing of this contract marks a milestone and confirms our strategy of building long term relationship with customers in our core trade networks.”
Carbon footprint
The company is building multi-fuel and zero-carbon ready 9,100 ceu vessels at China Merchants Heavy Industry (CMHI) which Enger added would from next year sport the lowest carbon footprint in the industry.
