Holland Shipyards Group reports that it is proud to announce that it has started work on an exciting new challenge: the finishing and outfitting of a state-of-the-art Construction Support Vessel (CSV) for Chevalier Floatels. The 110-metre-long vessel arrived recently in Werkendam, where it will be fully transformed at our yard to be delivered at the end of the first quarter of 2025.
Transforming a Cutting-Edge CSV
Based on the MT6040 design by Marin Teknikk AS, Norway, the vessel will be reimagined into a fully sustainable and versatile CSV capable of supporting a variety of offshore operations.
A Commitment to Excellence and Sustainability
This project underscores Holland Shipyards Group’s unwavering dedication to high-quality craftsmanship and sustainability. The CSV is designed to meet IMO Tier III emissions standards, incorporating advanced technologies such as a battery energy storage system to minimize its environmental impact.
The vessel will feature an impressive array of capabilities, including a 150-tonne active heave compensation (AHC) subsea crane with a working depth of 3,000 meters. It will also feature a spacious moonpool measuring 7.20m by 7.20m to improve its operational flexibility, while 1,300m² free deck space allows for flexibility in carrying out diverse tasks. Furthermore, the vessel offers high-end accommodations for up to 120 persons with a blend of comfort and operational efficiency. It is designed for versatility in offshore construction, walk-to-work operations, cable repair, and trenching activities.
Strengthening the Partnership with Chevalier Floatels
Holland Shipyards Group enjoys a long-term history of close cooperation with Chevalier Floatels. Recent projects, for example, such as the DP Gezina and DP Galyna, have put a high benchmark on these floating accommodations because they are all walk-to-work accommodation vessels. Leaning on such a solid platform, the cooperation continues to the new CSV project, further securing the shared goal of delivering cutting-edge, performance-driven vessels with the highest levels of quality set by Chevalier Floatels.
A Legacy of Successful Collaborations
This latest venture is a major step forward in sustainable offshore operations, as Holland Shipyards Group and Chevalier Floatels are shaping the future of the maritime industry. The transformation of the vessel will deliver an exceptional solution combining advanced technology, sustainability, and operational versatility.
