The new offshore vessels will be equipped with a wide array of modern systems, including dynamic positioning, integrated navigation and control, battery-hybrid electric power, and advanced propulsion units. These technologies are designed to optimize performance across various operational scenarios while cutting emissions significantly.

Battery-Hybrid System and Regenerative Power Utilization
A major highlight of the setup is the battery-hybrid DC power and propulsion system. This enables flexible operation with multiple energy sources—diesel, biodiesel, and methanol—and includes an energy management system that captures regenerative power from onboard systems like cranes and remotely operated vehicles (ROVs).
Such a system not only reduces fuel consumption but also ensures smooth load management and peak shaving, especially important during high-power activities like heavy lifting and subsea operations.
Joint Study to Quantify Emission Reduction
In addition to supplying the technology, the equipment provider will also collaborate with the vessel operator to conduct a benchmark emissions study.
