COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry

On August 8, COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Dalian), a subsidiary of COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry, named and delivered the 68,000 dwt multi-purpose pulp carrier No. 2 “Green Kotka” to CMB Financial Leasing, and officially handed over to COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers for operation.

This series of ships is the world’s largest ice-class multi-purpose pulp carrier built and delivered in China.

CCS B1 Ice Zone Symbol and Class C Polar Certificate

The ship has a total length of 226.8 meters, a molded width of 32.26 meters, and a molded depth of 19.3 meters, meeting the requirements of CCS B1 Ice Zone Symbol and Class C Polar Certificate.

The 68,000 dwt series multi-purpose pulp carrier has polar navigation function, and can navigate in open water and the ocean with an ice layer less than 80 centimeters.

The first 68,000 dwt multi-purpose pulp ship “Green Kemi” has been sailing on the route to Brazil since its maiden voyage to participate in the special route (Suzhou Port) for the export of new energy vehicles in China.

The second ship, “Green Kotka,” will be loaded with cargo and set sail for Victoria Port after delivery.
