  • Yemen’s Houthis warn of intensified attacks on Israel if it resumes military operations in Gaza.
  • The ceasefire is unstable, with Hamas accusing Israel of violations and halting hostage releases.
  • In response, Israel increases military readiness, while the Houthis continue missile and drone launches.

Yemen’s Houthi leader, Abdulmalik al-Houthi, has warned of further attacks on Israel if the country does not adhere to a ceasefire. The comments were made during a televised speech on Tuesday, in which he reaffirmed the group’s readiness to strike at any moment should hostilities in Gaza escalate, reports SAFETY4SEA.

Fragile Ceasefire Sparks Regional Tensions

The ceasefire deal in Gaza is under strain after Hamas accused Israel of breaking the agreement and declared it would halt the release of Israeli hostages.

With both sides on edge, the possibility of renewed conflict has put the entire region on alert.

Israel Increases Military Readiness

In anticipation of potential escalation, Israel has strengthened its military presence in Gaza and boosted domestic defenses.

This move follows previous Houthi missile and drone attacks on Israel, which have heightened security concerns.

Houthis Remain a Threat Despite Temporary Shipping Pause

Earlier warnings from Ambrey, a global maritime risk intelligence group, had cautioned that the temporary halt in Houthi attacks on shipping does not indicate a complete de-escalation of hostilities.

Their recent threats confirm that tensions remain high.
