Japanese container line merger, Ocean Network Express (ONE), has started to accept bookings, a two month ahead of their joint venture’s launch.
ONE, a joint venture of the container lines NYK, Mitsui OSK Lines, and K Line, will launch on 1 April, and is starting to accept bookings in stages, from 1 February.
When ONE starts business operations on 1 April, it will be a transitional period for the partner companies currently under operation. It will be a joint venture under the name ONE, once the existing three individual lines completely stop operating their own vessels.
To help ensure that customers book the correct operator, two online guides, “Booking Ownership Guide” and “Vessel Voyage Direction List” are launched.
A Singapore-headquartered, ONE’s venture, will be the world’s sixth largest container line soon after it starts operations.
