Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) reported a strong increase in cargo handling for February 2025, with 616,164 TEUs of containers processed, marking a 9.14% growth compared to February 2024. The total cargo volume for the month stood at 7.56 million tonnes, an increase of 2.09% year-on-year.

Monthly Performance (February 2025)

  • Container Traffic: 616,164 TEUs handled (+9.14% YoY).
  • Total Cargo: 7.56 million tonnes (+2.09% YoY).
  • Container Rakes Handled: 534 rakes, up from 526 in February 2024.
  • Rail TEUs: 86,142 TEUs, compared to 84,350 TEUs in February 2024.

Cumulative Performance (April 2024 – February 2025)

  • Total Container Traffic: 6,629,242 TEUs handled (+13.60% YoY).
  • Total Cargo Volume: 83.85 million tonnes (+7.43% YoY).
  • Container Rakes Handled: 6,164 rakes, up from 5,864 in the previous year.
  • Rail TEUs: 978,130 TEUs, compared to 935,503 TEUs in the corresponding period last year.
