“K” LINE Launches Annual Safety Campaign 2024-2025

Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (“K” LINE) has initiated its annual safety campaign for 2024-2025, emphasizing the prevention of injuries, negligence-related accidents, and heavy weather damage. This campaign, conducted every winter, aims to enhance safety awareness across both sea and shore operations.

Broad Participation and Engagement

The campaign has seen widespread participation:

  • 200+ vessels involved

  • 4,700+ participants, including

    • 480 onshore staff and management

Following last year’s success, onshore staff conducted ship visits, engaging in face-to-face discussions with crews, and hosted online conferences to reinforce safety protocols.

Manila Seminar & Safety Collaboration

A key highlight of this year’s campaign was a safety seminar held in Manila, which also included chartered vessel crew members. Through information exchanges with captains and crews, the campaign reinforced its core mission:

  • Strengthening cooperation between charterers and ship management companies
