Korean Register (KR) and HD Hyundai Global Service have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to cooperate on their verification of maritime carbon reduction solutions.
OceanWise
- Two organizations, KR and HD Hyundai Global Service, are teaming up to develop cutting-edge AI and Big Data technology for the maritime industry.
- Their goal is to create an AI-based system for monitoring carbon emissions and providing solutions for reducing them.
- KR aims to assess the accuracy of ‘OceanWise,’ HD Hyundai Global Service’s newest solution, and set objective benchmarks for the performance of carbon-reduction measures.

Lee Hyungchul, Chairman and CEO of KR, said:
