KSME To Build LNG Carrier Pair Under $530m Deal

HD Korea Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (KSME), a subsidiary of Hyundai Heavy Industries, said it has received a construction order from a company based in Africa for two LNG carriers, reports Engine.

The order value is worth KRW 679,000 million ($529.84 million).

KSME will supply the two LNG carriers in Africa, with delivery scheduled for late 2027, stated the Seoul-headquartered company.

The company has not disclosed any further details of the contract, including the name of the buyer based in Africa or the LNG carrying capacity of the carriers.
