A recent news article published in the LGM website states that LGM awarded orders for methanol fuel supply system package.
LGM Engineering has achieved a new milestone
LGM Engineering has made new breakthrough as the leading provider of marine fuel systems for green fuels and signed contract for supply of methanol fuel supply system packages, and methanol supply module supplied by Alfa Laval, for six 1,170 TEU dual fuel container vessels with Ningbo Xinle Shipbuilding Group Co., Ltd, and New Dayang Shipping Co., Ltd. in June 2022.
The deliveries of the methanol fuel supply systems will start in June 2023. The shipowner is X-Press Feeders from Singapore, and the Classification Society is DNV.
The vessels to be equipped with the latest version two-stroke MeOH fuelled LGIM engine that can run on methanol as well as conventional fuels.
By using green methanol as energy source, the ship can operate with lower carbon emissions.
EPC delivery of the Methanol Fuel Supply System
LGM Engineering will provide an EPC delivery of the Methanol Fuel Supply System package for the subjected vessels.
The scope of supply includes: Completed skids of methanol fuel bunkering stations, Methanol supply system module (Alfa Laval), Fuel Storage Tank and Service Tank monitoring & measurements system, ESD system, FVT, Nitrogen Generator and Nitrogen Booster as well as system commissioning, MeOH fuel sea trail, and crew training.
