Liebherr Container Cranes (Liebherr) has announced the handover of a third STS crane to PSA Penn Terminals in the Port of Philadelphia, reports the Maritime Executive.
The latest crane complements the two commissioned in 2018.
Liebherr Delivers STS Container Crane
The new STS crane features a 157-foot (48 metres) outreach, a 60-foot (18.3 metres) span, and a 50-foot (15 metres) back reach, with a lift height of 115 feet (35 metres) over the rail and a safe working load (SWL) of 66 tonnes.
The STS crane is designed to significantly boost operational efficiency and capacity at the terminal.
