A loaded bulk carrier runs aground at Lake Erie, reports Maritime Bulletin.

Bulk carrier MISSISSAGI with cargo of stone ran aground while approaching Kingsville, Lake Erie, Ontario, Canada, on arrival from Sandusky, at around 1400 UTC Oct 17.

Update on October 18 

The vessel was refloated some 8 hours later at around 2100 UTC, sailed to Windsor, Detroit river, and berthed.

While aground, MISSISSAGE blocked Kingsville harbor, so the ferry services to Pelee Island were delayed for nearly eight hours.
