We are excited to inform you about our recent purchase of three Kamsarmax bulk carriers from Shagang Steel, a prominent Chinese shipping company, as published on LinkedIn.

Fleet expansion

A bulk carrier fleet expansion is underway with the addition of the SWEET MELISSA, SWEET IRINA, and SWEET VENUS vessels, built between 2011 and 2012. Additionally, the sale of five containerships, including QUEEN ESTHER and B TRADER, among others, has been confirmed to MPC Container Ships for a price near $137 million. The delivery of the sold vessels to their new owner will take place over the next two months.

The ECO vessels, including four 1,762-TEU ‘Bangkok-max’ sisters and 14 units of the same SDARI design, were part of a successful 43-new building program. These vessels have demonstrated excellent performance for both the company and its charterers.
