DP World’s London Gateway Logistics Park has received Thurrock Council’s approval for a new 10-year Local Development Order (LDO), ensuring continued expansion, job creation, and investment in the area.

Key Benefits of the New LDO

  • Faster Planning Approvals:
    • New projects receive final approval within 28 days, accelerating lease agreements, construction, and facility setup.
  • Sustainable Development:
    • All new buildings are constructed to a BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ classification.
  • Increased Site Utilization:
    • Half of the 9 million square-foot site has been developed, with the LDO supporting the utilization of remaining space.
  • Economic Growth & Job Creation:
    • The previous 2013 LDO led to:
      • 17 facilities built for 16 occupiers
      • Over 4 million square feet of development
      • Creation of 1,500 permanent jobs
    • The new LDO is expected to create hundreds of additional jobs.
