London International Shipping Week 2023 (LISW23) kicks off with the London Stock Exchange bell, attracting 30,000 global maritime leaders for discussions on trade, experience-sharing, and innovation exploration.

Global Gathering

  • UK Government Ministers actively participate in LISW23, with Transport Secretary Rt Hon Mark Harper MP leading a roundtable alongside Maritime Minister Baroness Vere and industry leaders.
  • An upcoming VIP reception, attended by HRH The Princess Royal as Maritime UK’s Patron, is scheduled.LISW23 boasts the largest-ever number of overseas trade delegations, with representation from China, the USA, France, Norway, and more.
  • The ‘Maritime Hub’ features the UK Government’s Shipping Concierge, showcasing the UK’s business appeal, while Maritime UK provides a platform for British firms to highlight their maritime expertise.

Maritime Future

The week emphasizes maritime job opportunities and skills development. Iconic London landmarks and unique vessels, including HMS Iron Duke and pioneering electric foiling workboat Pioneer, host events.

Delegates can enjoy networking opportunities, from gala receptions to lively jazz parties, in addition to the week’s informative sessions.

Throughout the week a Daily Radio Show will be aired between 07:00 and 08:00 to keep the maritime community, in London and around the world, fully up to date and informed.

London International Shipping Week (LISW) marks its tenth year as a biennial event, celebrated with a cocktail reception aboard THV Galatea near Tower Bridge.
