Long Beach Triumphs As Best West Coast Seaport Yet Again

Best West Coast Seaport

The Port of Long Beach has been named the Best West Coast Seaport in North America for the sixth consecutive year by readers of the shipping trade publication Asia Cargo News.

The honor was announced during the Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain Awards held June 25 in Shanghai. Asia Cargo News honors logistics industry members for demonstrating leadership and consistency in service quality, innovation, customer relationship management and reliability. Importers, exporters, and logistics and supply chain professionals judge the awards.

Voting Process

More than 15,000 readers of Asia Cargo News made the nominations for each category, then determined the winner from a list of eight finalists in each category. Find the full list of winners here.

“We are grateful to once again be bestowed this honor,” said Port of Long Beach CEO Mario Cordero. “We appreciate the recognition as we continue to offer operational excellence, and invest in Port infrastructure such as our Pier B rail facility and our many ongoing zero-emissions projects.”

“We must thank our dockworkers, terminal operators and every one of our supply chain partners for their diligent work and dedication,” said Long Beach Harbor Commission President Bobby Olvera Jr. “Thank you to Asia Cargo News and its readers for this award.”
