Longship Orders Up To Eight Eco-Friendly Vessels In Netherlands

The project will be a collaboration between GS Projects and Ship and Steelbuilding (SaS) at the Dutch shipyard in Waterhuizen and Groot Ship Design, reports offshore energy.

According to Longship, the PMAX ECO TRADER vessels are designed for “highly efficient fuel consumption and advanced eco-friendly technologies.”

Greener Maritime Operations 

Longship said the initiative represents a step towards greener maritime operations, “reflecting Longship Group’s commitment to environmental responsibility and innovation in the shipping industry.”

To remind, in 2024, Longship entered a joint newbuilding project with Norway’s shipbroker Wagle Chartering for two general cargo ships.
