On June 13, Fire reportedly erupted in superstructure of LPG tanker Amelia 1, anchored on Makassar Anchorage, South Sulawesi.
The fire reportedly started off in service cabin and started to spread around. The crew of the burning vessel tried to extinguish the fire, but it quickly went out of hand. The accident was immediately reported to local authorities and at the scene came a SAR ship, SAR Antasena (Callsign KN234), for assistance and extinguished it.
All 13 crew on board were reportedly safe with no injures. There was no leak reported. The SAR Antasena was anchored near AMELIA 1 as a standby in case of reignition.
