On October 22nd, LPG tanker Syn Antares that ran aground in Guaiba Lake at Porto Allegro, Brazil. The incident while the tanker was en route from Port Allegro to the Rio Grande.
The cause for grounding was reportedly caused by stranding off the fairway. However, the traffic was not affected due to the incident and no leakage or pollution to the environment was reported.
Subsequently, attempts to float the ship were set to take place with the arrival of tug boats.
