MacGregor Secures Major Order For Cargo Access Equipment For 12 PCTCs

MacGregor, a division of Cargotec, has won an order to supply advanced cargo access equipment for 12 Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs) being built at China Merchants Heavy Industry (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. (CMHI) for CIDO Shipping. The contract, booked in Cargotec’s Q3 2024 order intake, also includes an option for eight additional vessels, with deliveries starting in Q2 2026 and concluding by Q4 2029.

Cutting-Edge Equipment and Support

The scope of the contract includes the design and supply of vital cargo handling equipment such as quarter ramps, side ramps, internal ramps, liftable car decks, and covers. MacGregor will also provide installation assistance to ensure the smooth integration of the equipment. These components will improve the vessels’ operational efficiency, loading flexibility, and overall performance in vehicle transportation.

MacGregor’s collaboration with CMHI and CIDO Shipping continues to strengthen, bolstered by its reliable delivery and top-tier solutions. CIDO Shipping has previously equipped many of its vessels with MacGregor systems, demonstrating a strong, ongoing partnership built on trust and performance.
