Maersk Appoints Mohit Bhatia As Head of Global Service Centres

A.P. Moller – Maersk has appointed Mohit Bhatia as Senior Vice President and Head of Maersk Global Service Centres (GSC) from 1 August 2021, says a press release published on their website.

Overall responsibilities

Mohit Bhatia assumes overall responsibility of Maersk Global Service Centres overseeing the strategy to enable Maersk’s integrator vision by providing customer, employee, stakeholder and user experience through cutting edge technology.

Expertise

Mohit joined Maersk in 2019 and had held the position of Joint Managing Director of Maersk GSC, with responsibility for Finance.

Moreover, Maersk’s Senior Vice President has 30 years-expertise in transforming and managing large companies across Information Technology (IT), banking, food and snacking sectors, while is also a chartered accountant and finance professional.

“Along with his functional expertise in finance, Mohit brings a unique experience of leading large scale transformations at similar capabilities centres which will greatly benefit our GSC teams,” stated CEO, Fleet & Strategic Brands of Maersk, Henriette Hallberg Thygesen.

Mohit’s comment

On his appointment, Mohit commented that he is honoured to take over the responsibility of Maersk GSC at a time when the logistics sector is undergoing an important transformation.

“As an industry leader, we are fronting this transformation through a robust technology plan that, together with end-to-end connected processes, will enable us to become truly customer-centric,” he noted.
