Maersk Line Crew Saves Fishermen Stranded at Sea

On November 22, five fishermen who were stranded at Sea were rescued during a routine journey by the Maersk line.

What happened?

The crew of ‘Mathilde Maersk’ were enroute from Singapore to Yantian when they spotted the fishermen.

The fishermen were discovered on a bright orange life raft and the fishermen were reportedly stranded at Sea for the past two days without food and water.

Fishermen rescued:

The quick thinking Maersk crew executed a major manoeuvre by turning around their vessel to rescue the stranded fishermen.

The fishermen were provided with dry clothes, food and medical assistance before being reunited with their family.
