Denmark’s Maersk Tankers has revealed that it would be starting up a new chemical tanker pool from the beginning of next month, splash247.
Maersk Tankers said in a social media post that the new pool, named Maersk Tankers Chemicals, would launch on October 1.
“Supported by existing partners and drawing on our extensive experience and expertise with chemical vessels, the new pool is designed to maximize returns for our partners’ J19 vessels,” the company explained.
The J19 chemical tankers are stainless-steel chemical tankers of between 19,000 dwt and 22,500 dwt. Maersk Tankers has five such vessels listed on their website – the Asp Lily, Asp Sunrise, Nv Athena, Nv Minerva, and the Windsor.
According to the company, there will be no minimum commitment period and flexible redelivery terms and the new chemical pool will offer a “seamless onboarding process and a fair and transparent earnings model.”
Maersk Tankers currently operates a series of nine pools – Suezmax, Aframax, Panamax, LR2, LR1, MR, Handy, Intermediate, and City.
