The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has announced that Jeddah Islamic Port, King Abdulaziz Port, and Jubail Commercial Port will now be included in the Al Maha shipping service provided by container liner Maersk, as reported by Zawya.

Cargo connections

Starting in June, this new route will connect the three ports in Saudi Arabia to six ports across the Middle East, including Tangier, Port Said, Salalah, Duqm, Jebel Ali, and Doha. The service will be operated by seven vessels, offering a weekly capacity of 8,500 TEUs. This expansion of cargo connections aligns with Saudi Arabia’s goals of enhancing its global maritime connectivity and establishing its trade hubs as catalysts for sustainable economic development and diversification, as outlined in the National Transport and Logistics Strategy (NTLS).
