MAN Energy Solutions has chosen Amazon Web Services (AWS) to deliver advanced analytics, machine learning, and the Internet of Things (IoT) for its CEON platform, reads the company press release.
Addressing decarbonisation challenges
By connecting MAN equipment across different industries and geographies, the CEON digital platform will provide advice, condition-based maintenance, and repair guidance for marine and power engines, as well as turbochargers, turbines, compressors, and other connected equipment.
As its preferred Cloud provider, AWS is expected to help MAN implement its strategy to support customers in the marine, energy, and industrial sectors for addressing challenges related to decarbonisation.
This will be done through the enhancement of efficiency and performance of their assets at a ‘systemic level’.
Powered by machine learning algorithms, the CEON platform gathers and studies operating data.
It will facilitate real-time monitoring of marine or power plant engines, turbines, and compressors, which feature multiple sensors that constantly transmit data.
The process will allow MAN experts to identify malfunctions and problems at an early stage to help global customers efficiently operate and maintain their systems.
