MAN Diesel & Turbo had entered into a technical cooperation agreement with the China Classification Society (CCS) during Marintec China 2015 in Shanghai. The agreement would promote intelligent ship research, data exchange, online monitoring and online service.
It was signed by Wayne Jones, executive board member for sales at MAN and Sun Feng, vice president of CCS, on behalf of their companies. MAN Diesel & Turbo by allying with China had optimally positioned the technology and know-how. The remote minoring service makes it possible to diagnose machinery at any time and from any location based on transferred and stored engine data. It had helped towards the intelligent ship concept and high safety for ship owners.
