MAN Energy Solutions has marked a significant milestone in the development of its ME-LGIA (Liquid Gas Injection Ammonia) engine with the commencement of full-scale, two-stroke engine testing at its Research Centre Copenhagen (RCC).

    • After completing over 12 months of testing on a single-cylinder ammonia engine, MAN Energy Solutions has transitioned to testing a full-scale engine.
    • The conversion process for the full-scale engine included rigorous safety checks to meet high operational standards.
    • The next phase of testing will focus on key parameters such as combustion, emissions, engine tuning, atomizer testing, and control-system verification. This phase is expected to run until mid-2025.
