Sick member on crew

Mega container ship CMA CGM Marco Polo was denied to enter Algeciras Spain, on arrival from Southampton UK on March 30, after Master reported one sick crew with fever.

CMA CGM Marco Polo was anchored at Algeciras anchorage in the morning March 30, and as of morning March 31, remained in the same position, waiting for virus test result.

Hope of false alarm

Even after being tested, the rest of the crew is undergoing constant health check. Hopefully, it’s a false alarm and crew will come out clean, including the seaman who’s suffering from fever.

Incident update

The vessel was allowed to enter port and berthed at around 1240 UTC on March 31.
