Pro Nautas has now acquired maritime technology company Buss Data to expand its services in shipping, river cruises and port operations and also create a shipping intelligence platform.

Buss Data’s IT and fleet management software are installed on around 1,500 vessels, which expands Pro Nautas, which already provides connectivity and navigation services to ships.
Pro Nautas said together these companies will “focus on growing the digital platform and providing their customers with intelligent data services, powerful insights and analytics”.
The highlight
Buss Data’s Star Applications cover operational processes in shipping, including purchasing, crewing, maintenance, vessel performance, chartering, document management and other software applications.
All the information available on ships and shore monitors are synchronised using a client-server or cloud solution platform.
Intelligence platform
Pro Nautas intends to integrate Buss Data’s services with its own connectivity, navigation and smart maintenance to create a software intelligence platform.
This will hold operational, technical and commercial data on a secure online host. It is also shared in real-time among all the stakeholders for their decision support and operational transparency.
