Seaside LNG, a prominent company in LNG production, bunkering, and maritime logistics, has reached a significant landmark in its LNG bunkering services. Their advanced LNG bunkering vessel, the Clean Everglades, completed its 100th delivery to the Tote Isla Bella on March 4, 2025. This achievement highlights a crucial point in Seaside LNG’s progress towards building a more dependable and environmentally friendly LNG supply network, reports Bunker Market.
Integrated Services
Seaside LNG stands out as the sole platform in North America that offers a completely integrated suite of services for the liquefied natural gas (LNG) market. This includes shoreside liquefaction (turning natural gas into liquid form), LNG storage facilities, and bunkering capabilities that comply with the Jones Act (a U.S. federal law regulating maritime commerce). By combining these operations, Seaside LNG provides a comprehensive and seamless LNG production and delivery service, ensuring both high performance and low-carbon output for various maritime sectors.
The company conducts its operations through its subsidiary, Polaris New Energy (PNE). PNE is responsible for delivering flexible marine transportation and bunkering solutions for LNG along the Atlantic Coast and extending beyond. Notably, PNE operates the largest LNG bunkering fleet in the United States and has completed over 400 LNG deliveries. This highlights PNE’s crucial role in providing this essential service to a diverse range of customers within the maritime industry.
Expanding Fleet
Seaside LNG’s fleet is a crucial element of the company’s success, featuring several vessels strategically positioned along key U.S. coastlines. These vessels are specifically designed to offer reliable and efficient LNG delivery services, catering to the increasing demand for cleaner fuels within the maritime industry.
Here’s a breakdown of some of their key vessels:
- Clean Canaveral & Tug Polaris

These vessels play a vital role in ensuring a consistent supply of LNG fuel to ships operating in the Southern Atlantic and Gulf Coast regions. This reliability allows LNG-powered vessels to depend on Seaside LNG for their ongoing fueling needs.
State-of-the-art Infra
At the core of Seaside LNG’s operations lies the JAX LNG terminal, a collaborative venture between Seaside LNG and Pivotal LNG. Situated in Jacksonville, Florida, JAX LNG holds the distinction of being the first small-scale shoreside LNG facility in the United States engineered to handle LNG fueling for both marine vessels and trucks. Boasting a production capacity of 360,000 gallons per day and a substantial storage capacity of up to 4 million gallons of LNG, JAX LNG plays a pivotal role in guaranteeing a consistent fuel supply for both the maritime and land transportation sectors.
Beyond its liquefaction and storage capabilities, JAX LNG is equipped with advanced infrastructure. This includes dual truck loading bays for efficient fueling of LNG-powered trucks and a state-of-the-art loading pier specifically designed for transferring LNG to barges, which then deliver the fuel to ships. This facility has been operational since 2018 and remains a cornerstone of Seaside LNG’s ongoing commitment to supporting cleaner fuel alternatives in the industry.
