Mitsui Ocean Cruises acquires second Seabourn ship

Following the sale, Seabourn will charter the ship back from Mitsui Ocean Cruises and continue to operate all published voyages on Seabourn Sojourn through completion of its world cruise on May 15, 2026.

Seabourn Sojourn will be delivered to Mitsui Ocean Cruises after the charter period. Upon handover, the ship will be deployed by its new owners in a market that is not competitive with Seabourn.

Seabourn Sojourn is the second Seabourn ship to be handed over to Mitsui Ocean Cruises after the 468-guest Seabourn Odyssey, which was sold to its new owner in the third quarter of 2024.

Renamed as Mitsui Ocean Fuji, ex-Seabourn Odyssey entered operational service with Mitsui Ocean Cruises in December.

In addition to sailing cruises to and from Yokohama, Mitsui Ocean Fuji also offers cruises to and from Kobe and Nagoya, and cruise to and from Beppu, Shimonoseki, Shingu, Kochi, Nagoya, Sakaide, Kobe, Matsuyama, Hakata, Kagoshima, Nagasaki, Hiroshima, and other seaside destinations in Japan.
