Expanding Decarbonization Efforts

MOL will leverage its expertise in the shipping industry to collaborate with global organizations. The Book and Claim methodology, which allows for the transfer of decarbonization credits between vessels and customers, plays a key role in reducing GHG emissions across international logistics.

The BCC, founded in 2023 by international non-profit organizations, aims to reduce GHG emissions by 1 billion tons by 2030, and MOL’s participation strengthens its commitment to these environmental goals.

MOL’s Commitment to Sustainability

Aligned with the MOL Group’s corporate mission to sustain lives through the oceans and ensure a prosperous future, the company continues to prioritize sustainability and decarbonization. Through initiatives like the BCC, MOL actively works towards reducing its environmental impact and supporting global efforts for a zero-carbon future.
