Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) subsidiary Euro Marine Logistics (EML) started sea trialling the use of biofuels onboard the car carrier, the City Of Oslo, reports BunkerSpot.
Deal for biofuel supply
MOL announced that EML has signed a deal for biofuel supply with Netherlands-based GoodFuels and about 370 tonnes of biofuel were bunkered on the vessel at the Dutch port of Flushing.

The shipping company also said that the GoodFuels’ biofuel, which can be used on vessels without changing engine specifications, is produced ‘using raw materials that do not lead to deforestation and food supply issues’.
