The new vessel of Kuwait’s state-company UASC was on first voyage with 12600 TEU in Southern Europe, but was hit by several monster waves at rough weather.

The accident forced the ultra large container ship  to take an emergency call at Malaga port in Spain.  It was estimated that the container carrier lost three containers and several others shifted and damaged.

There were no reports of any injured seafarer and no danger for the seaworthiness of the container ship.
