Mother and baby survive a plane crash in Colombian jungle


A young mother and her 1 year old baby were found alive after their plane crashed in the jungle of western Colombia.


In a miraculous incident, Maria Nelly Murillo, 18 and her one-year-old son were rescued from a jungle after their small Cessna plane crashed in Choco province.  The pilot was found dead, whereas the other two escaped with minor injuries.  A 14 member rescue team, after three days of search, found them in the wild jungle and airlifted them to a hospital in Quibdo.
