MSC Shipmanagement Cyprus has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Frederick University to empower the next generation of maritime professionals.
The agreement includes fully funded scholarships, career development support, and academic collaboration, reinforcing MSC’s commitment to building future talent in the maritime sector.
Scholarships and Career Opportunities for Students
As part of this MoU, MSC Shipmanagement will:

Offer two full four-year scholarships for the BSc in Maritime Studies at Frederick University.

Provide short-term internships to enrolled students for practical experience.

Cover educational field trip expenses to Europe, including visits to the International Maritime Organization and the Baltic Exchange.

Fund annual subscriptions to maritime research databases to aid students and researchers.
Scholarship candidates will be selected by an evaluation committee, and new recipients will be announced every two years.
Hands-On Training and Knowledge Resources
MSC Shipmanagement will also provide short-term internships, offering students practical experience in the maritime industry. Beyond this, the company will fund subscriptions to essential maritime information resources, supporting both academic learning and research.
Joint Industry-Academia Initiatives
Frederick University will organize specialized workshops for MSC personnel and the broader maritime industry. The two institutions will also engage in collaborative research and host events focused on maritime innovation and the blue economy, creating a stronger bridge between academia and industry.
