N-KOM Inks Agreement To Develop Onboard Equipment Support

For ships equipped with Erma First ballast water treatment systems (BWTS), Nakilat-Keppel Offshore & Marine (N-KOM) will offer after-sales technical support, says an article published in Riviera.

Calibration and testing

BWTS manufacturer Erma First signed an agreement with N-KOM to provide onboard equipment support for services in Qatar.

The manufacturer said, “Our customers will now have access to any troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, calibration and testing-related issues in Qatar.”

After-sales network 

N-KOM is a company that provides a wide range of repair, conversion, maintenance, and fabrication services for marine vessels, offshore structures, and onshore structures.

It is based in Qatar at the Erhama Bin Jaber Al Jalahma Shipyard complex.

In addition to operating a global after-sales network in Greece, the United States, Canada, India, China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, Panama, Turkey, Cyprus, Ukraine, France, Romania, Poland, and Latvia, Erma First has installed more than 2,500 systems on more than 2,000 vessels worldwide.

The network of Erma First is further expanded with the addition of the Qatari team of N-KOM.

Strengthens growing capability

Erma First managing director Konstantinos Stampedakis said, “Our ability to offer customers the most complete global after-sales network in the market is a great source of pride for everyone within the organisation. This collaboration with N-KOM further strengthens our ever-growing capability as we aim to assist clients around the world.”

Diligent technical support

N-KOM chief executive Damir Glavan said, “We have a highly trained group of engineers in Qatar, who are ready to assist all Erma First customers. N-KOM is known in the industry for our responsive, thorough and diligent technical support.”

N-KOM is a joint venture between Qatari firm Nakilat and offshore rig construction and repair specialist Keppel Offshore & Marine.
