Navios Maritime Partners, led by Angeliki Frangou, has placed an order for up to four container ships in South Korea.
Contract Details
- Contractor: HJ Shipbuilding & Construction
- Number of Ships: Two confirmed, with an option for two additional vessels
- Capacity: Each ship will have a capacity of 7,900 TEU
- Cost: Approximately US$110 million per vessel
Technological and Environmental Features
- Eco Standards: The ships will adhere to the highest eco standards as part of Navios Maritime Partners’ decarbonization strategy
- Scrubbers: All vessels will be fitted with scrubbers to reduce emissions
